SACA - SWISS A-CLASS ASSOCIATION

Dear members of SACA,

Several members of SACA have recently experienced difficulties in getting proper insurance coverage for their boats. The problem is not to be misplaced on the insurances ! They are making business and like any other well-driven company, they will get rid of their painful customers.

We are kindly invite to the Geneva Foiling Grand Prix at the 7. Of may.
It will be a great opportunity to make our class more visible and attractive.

(PS I am looking for a date to organise our general meeting as soon as possible. Keep in touch)

Dear members of the SACA,

as for the contingent allocation process of the European Championships 2022 in Garda​, the SACA gets a contingent of 6 sailors (myself as president have a wild card so not included in the 6 above).

25 inscrits pour cette dernière régate classe A de la saison avec la présence de 3 concurrents venus de l’étranger. Certains n’ont pas fait le déplacement au vu des prévisions météo pour le week end... Eole n’aura pas fait mentir les modèles cette fois ci et malheureusement aucune manche n’a pu être courue, faute de vent. A noter la forte participation des locaux avec 10 inscrits du CNB et un sensible "rajeunissement" de la flotte.

Dear Swiss sailors,

The USA National Association (USACA) has moved the World Championships to Houston Texas to be held on April 29th-May 6th 2022.

To foster participation, they are collecting boats across their country to be proposed as charters. So you can jump on the plane with your suit and land on a ready-to-sail A-Cat on the shores of Galveston Bay. I have done exactly this in Hervey Bay in 2018 and this was a very enjoyable experience. I'm going for it again in Houston, so if you feel for it, here is the way :

Le National Classe-A français s’est déroulé sur le lac de Maubuisson du 20 au 23 octobre 2021. C’est avec enthousiasme qu’Olivier Ballevre (SUI 303) et Darius Golchan (SUI 70) ont participé à ces 4 jours de régate.

Localisé sur les rives d’un petit lac ourlé de sable blanc, et abrité par une forêt de pins, le Cercle de la Voile de Bordeaux - Carcans Maubuisson a su accueillir chaleureusement 56 concurent.es.

When entering the country, if yours is not available, use France and set your country to City/Country, as in Bevaix/Suisse. As well for the ZIP, use 02525 instead of 2525. If you register soon enough, it's is cheaper.
