Comments on the final day in Houston, and why you should consider to participate to major events.

Today again a big front coming through the boat park with gusts at 30+ knts. The committee quickly decided that it made no sense to wait and as soon as AP/A was hoisted, masts were put to rest at their horizontal positions by their owners before the storm passed by.

Tuesday 3rd, the Classics waited a long time to water the boats, as the Open fleet were doing 3 races in a row, so we had to time to breakfast, lunch, etc... and then let's go party again. The wind was strong, my 1st race was almost perfect, with a good start, good speed, and a 3rd place at the end. Then came the bad with a trapeze off-hooking on the start, followed by a capsize 20 meters after passing the line, and my 4rth Cunningham breakage in 5 days of sailing... the race was a struggle to tame the boat, ending up 11.

No race today, but cool stuff done anyway !

Broken traveler rope, opening ceremony and food buffet are the news of the day.

Rapport Foiling Easter Regatta 2022 – Campione Italie

Today was the last day of the pre-regatta, the Admiral's Cup. It is named after the nickname of sailing legend Ben "the Admiral" Hall. First day was low wind range, barely trapeezing. Had trouble with my outhaul and cuningham. Second day went better with downwind trapeezing, it ended up well with a 2nd place right behind Micky Todd, who is really fast on his latest Scheurer G6.
