Charter boats information for World Championships 2022 in Houston Texas

Dear Swiss sailors,

The USA National Association (USACA) has moved the World Championships to Houston Texas to be held on April 29th-May 6th 2022.

To foster participation, they are collecting boats across their country to be proposed as charters. So you can jump on the plane with your suit and land on a ready-to-sail A-Cat on the shores of Galveston Bay. I have done exactly this in Hervey Bay in 2018 and this was a very enjoyable experience. I'm going for it again in Houston, so if you feel for it, here is the way :

Obviously, there’s no better way to sail a World Championship than on your own boat. But for some, racing a high-quality charter boat can dramatically streamline the process and still lead to an enjoyable experience.

The organizers of the 2022 Worlds are now offering a charter program. We are identifying both competitive foilers and classic boats throughout the United States. We have already received commitments from owners who would be open to chartering their boats. We have also confirmed a charter boat insurance provider.

To request a charter boat please respond to the 2022 Worlds Charter Coordinator, Ben Hall. Ben will take your request and do his best to match you with the appropriate charter opportunity.
