30.7 - 1.8.2010, am Gardasee ! Wir feiern unseren Schweizermeister am Nationalfeiertag in Italien !

Du 30 juillet au 1er août, au lac de Garde, nous fêterons notre champion suisse lors de la fête nationale !

Tradizione vuole che il secondo Svizzero classificato faccia il resoconto della gara quindi, ancora una volta, mi tocca scrivere e vi tocca leggermi.
WE MADE IT!!!! Finalmente abbiamo sconfitto quella che stava diventando la vera e propria bestia nera delle regate del circuito, dopo il 2008 con il lago esondato e il campionato di maggio 2009, dove non siamo riusciti a fare neanche una prova, ad Ascona si è regatato!

Rieccoci a Riva, venti giorni dopo quell’indimenticabile campionato germanico di fine agosto, per l’ormai classico appuntamento annuale dedicato al circuito Alpen Cup.

Die Biese wähte schon den 5. Tag und die Freude der Segler war gross bei der Ankunft in Ipsach. 16 A-Cats fanden sich zusammen mit rund 10 Tornados auf dem schönen Gelände in Ipsach ein.

5 Minuten nach den Tornados starteten die A-Cats. Kein einziger Massenrückruf sollte ein speditives Durchführen der drei Läufe ermöglichen. Die Startlinie war jeweils sehr gut ausgelegt und der Wind zwar böig, aber mit durchschnittlich 3 – 4 Bf. wunderschön zu segeln.

Sarà anche lontana ma la trasferta in Sicilia andava fatta e ne è valsa la pena, isola strana dalle fortissime contraddizioni ma di una bellezza straordinaria.

You may have seen the bad news in the press that last week the IOC decided not to grant sailing an 11th medal for the 2012 Olympic Games. This means that there will be no catamaran in the 2012 Olympic Games.

Following this bad news UKCRA have sent the following open letter to Goran Peterson at ISAF:

Summary

The ISAF Conference in May brought our campaign closer to its objective of securing appropriate representation for multihulls at the highest level of sport. It now seems highly likely that, if IOC grants sailing an 11th medal, it will be for an Open Multihull Event, raced in Tornados, as in China, and that the chances of a favourable IOC decision are good, but that may not be known till October.
